Jeep Lamp Project
I created a desk lamp that looks like the grill of a Jeep for a gift

I wanted to make a gift for my significant other who really likes Jeeps

I bought an adjustable desk lamp and removed the LED light strip from it. I drew the grill of a Jeep in SolidWorks and exported it as a .dxf file so that I could laser-cut it out of ⅛ inch wood. Using a very thin strip of LEDs connected to the original wires from the lamp, I outlined the perimeter of the grill with lights. I used a scratched-up piece of acrylic to defuse the light. I then glued all the pieces together and painted the lamp.
